Boston Fever

From the moment I sat down at Gate B14 in the O'Hare International airport late Friday morning, I felt Boston fever.  Looking around the boarding area, I spotted several marathon runners, waiting eagerly to 'pre-board' the plane. They were easy enough to pick out of crowd - if not by the running shoes or athletic figure than by the bright blue and yellow jacket sporting the a Boston Athletic Association (BAA) logo on the back.
Now, I don't know about you, but most guys wouldn't be caught dead in a t-shirt having a giant unicorn printed on it, but I suppose this would have to be the one exception.

While on the plane, I overheard other runners talking about their experiences in Boston.  One woman was actually running another marathon just 14 days later.  Crazy, I tell ya!  When I arrived at Logan Int'l, I saw Adidas ads along the walls and banners hanging from the baggage claim area - all welcoming the runners.

This was gonna be fun.  I gathered my luggage and headed outside to find the wonderful Emily just pulling to offer a me a ride. Perfect timing!  Now on the John Hancock Sports & Fitness Expo...
